Privacy policy
This is a static site. There are no accounts, no logins, no comments and no forms, and nothing is sold or paid for here, so there is very little to collect in the first place.
Data We Collect
Once Google Analytics 4 is switched on, it records visits in aggregate: pages viewed, a rough idea of where in the world the visit came from, the device type, and which listing links were clicked. That last measurement is the one we care about. It answers a single question: did this page help someone choose between a dinner cruise and a budget pizza cruise, or between a big-group sightseeing boat and a small-group luxury cruise? Usefulness is the only thing being tested. Nobody is being identified. No names, no email addresses, no passport details and no payment details are stored, because we never ask for them and have nothing to charge you for.
Cookies and outside content
Google Analytics drops cookies of its own. Embedded maps and videos behave differently: the content is pulled from the provider's servers as the page renders, and any cookies that provider then sets fall under its privacy policy, not this one.
When you click through to a listing, the booking platform sets its own cookie so a booking can be credited back to this site. Those cookies belong to that platform and fall under its privacy policy, not this one. The same goes for any operator site you reach from here, whether that is Blue Boat Company, Flagship Amsterdam or Stromma Netherlands: once you leave, you are on their terms. What We Never Do
- Pass your details to third parties.
- No advertising networks here: no retargeting pixels and no third-party ad cookies.
- Request or store an email address. No newsletter exists, and no account is needed.
- Take payments, hold a seat on a boat or handle a booking. Your card details, your confirmation email and your spot on the evening cruise all stay with the operator's own listing, never here.
- Run a contact form. The contact page is just a mailto link, so any message you send goes straight from your own mail provider to us and nowhere else.
Hosting
The site is served by a third-party host that keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention. We do not query those logs to identify visitors or tie them to cruise comparisons they read.
Your choices
The analytics script stops running whenever you use tracking protection built into your browser, an ad blocker, or a Do Not Track preference. The site keeps working either way. JavaScript can also be switched off entirely: pages still load, with the mobile menu as the one exception. Readers who prefer to leave no tracking cookie whatsoever can look up the operators by name on the disclosure page and book with them directly.
